At St Augustine Academy, we are looking for a passionate teacher of Business from September 2024, to deliver high quality lessons while successfully nurturing and inspiring our students.

As part of our supportive and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy learning environment for all children within the school. This includes a full extra-curricular programme of clubs and fixtures in Maidstone and the surrounding area. The ability to teach GCSE and/or vocational qualifications at Key stage 4 is essential. The ability to teach other subjects would be an advantage.

You will be joining a well-established and friendly team of specialist teachers who work collaboratively to ensure quality first teaching is the priority for all students.

This role will also include being responsible for the pastoral care of a Mentor group.

Applications will be considered as they are received. Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and St Augustine Academy reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, including volunteers, to share in this commitment.

All offers of appointment are conditional upon satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check, incorporating a Barred List Check. Therefore, individuals on the Children’s Barred list (and Adult’s Barred list, where relevant) should not apply.

The Academy is fully committed to equality of opportunity. We positively welcome applications from all sections of the community.
