Baxter College is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Science who can inspire a lifelong attitude of discovery in our students. Whether your expertise lies in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, we are looking for a passionate educator who can explain complex nuances—from the mechanics of the human body to the principles of electromagnetism.
In addition to the teaching role, we are looking for an Assistant Curriculum Area Lead (ACAL). This leadership position is central to the management and support of students' experiences at Baxter College, offering specific experience in departmental leadership during this maternity cover period.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent and inspirational science teaching across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.
- Commit to high-quality laboratory work, using experiments to bring scientific theories to life.
- Combat social disadvantage by ensuring all students have access to high-level STEM opportunities.
- Potential curriculum leadership opportunity, working closely with the Curriculum Area Leader to provide professional leadership and drive a culture of collaboration. This includes assisting in the preparation and leadership across each key stage to ensure students remain engaged with school values.
