We also now run the Cambridge National Sports Studies course, providing all of our students with the potential to succeed in KS4. We work collaboratively as a department, continually striving to improve our results. In the Sixth Form we achieved 70% Distinction*/Distinction at BTEC Sport Level 3 and we achieved 84% A*/A at A Level Physical Education in 2021 with 22 students set to take the exam in 2022.

Salesian is an outstanding school with an ethos that focuses on building effective relationships with pupils to foster a community feel. The PE department plays a strong role in promoting this within the school.

The PE department aims to allow our pupils to build the knowledge, skills and confidence to be active for a lifetime. The candidate would be expected to contribute to the strong extra-curricular programme we are running at the school and should be confident in potentially teaching both theory and practical PE across all Key Stages.
