Salary: £28,876 - £32,436 (Pro rata salary £20,476 - £23,000). Incremental progression throughout the band is available.

About the Role
The ESOL department at SCC Group is committed to inspiring and developing students who are speakers of other languages, to extend their knowledge, skills and understanding of the English language for work, further learning and everyday life. Our aim is to enable students to become confident and independent contributors to modern British society.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, compassionate and hardworking Pastoral Leader to support our students with a range of issues, most notably, mental health needs, domestic violence and homelessness. You will have a good understanding of pastoral needs and will contribute to the college’s ethos of high expectations. You will support learners in developing their skills so that they can progress to work, further study and taking an active part in life in the UK. You will work alongside the ESOL department to break down barriers and ensure that all learners are able to achieve successful outcomes, both academically and socially. You will have the skills to plan and deliver exemplary, high-quality tutorials and one to one meetings which ensure the achievement and progress of every learner. You will be qualified to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in working with ESOL students, delivering tutorials, an ability to speak another language and knowledge of safeguarding themes would also be an advantage.
