FutureSkills at MediaCityUK is a centre of excellence for creative and digital courses. The Digital Department is looking to appoint a suitably qualified, dynamic Teacher of Games Design. Now is an exciting time to join our growing department which offers students the highest standard of Digital education across a variety of courses. FutureSkills@MediaCity boasts outstanding IT facilities, the latest technology, links with both national and local businesses and a strong, supportive department.
The successful applicant will be able to teach levels 1-3 and has an understanding of BTEC and OCR awarding bodies. We also require applicants to have:

- A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed).
- A good honours degree in a relevant subject or significant experience within the Games industry.
- A strong commitment to planning, assessment, feedback, and moderation.
- Strong professional habits and organisation skills to fulfil departmental responsibilities.
- Knowledge of and experience with 3D modelling / animation software, such as Maya or Blender.
- Knowledge of and experience with game engines, such as the Unreal Engine or Construct 3.
- Knowledge of and experience with creative software, such as Adobe Products / Davinci Resolve.
- Knowledge of games design / 3D art pipelines and project management.
- A passion for games design and the gaming industry!
- An ability to utilise new technologies to engage, inspire and excite students through teaching.
