About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to deliver AAQ Health and Social Care (Pearson) at Pendleton Sixth Form College on a permanent basis. A second subject within the Social Sciences (e.g. Psychology, Sociology or Criminology) would be desirable.
We are seeking a passionate practitioner with strong subject knowledge who can deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that supports students of mixed abilities to achieve excellent progress. The successful candidate will bring Health and Social Care to life through real-world application, developing students understanding of contemporary issues, synoptic skills and employability within the sector. A commitment to high-quality pastoral support is essential.
Health and Social Care sits within the Social Studies Department, alongside Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, English Language, English Literature, Film Studies, Media Studies and Sport. The department has a strong ethos of improving the life chances of young people aged 1618 in Salford.
