An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Zero Hours Premises Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Sandcross Primary School.
This is a casual, zero-hours role, ideal for someone looking for flexible work. There are no guaranteed hours, and you will be contacted on an ad hoc basis to provide cover during busy periods, staff absence, school events, and to support planned maintenance across our multi-site settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs to buildings and grounds.
Undertaking site security checks, including opening and locking school premises where required.
Supporting the day-to-day management of school facilities.
Assisting with health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Setting up and supporting school events, room layouts, and logistics across all Trust locations.
Responding to maintenance issues as they arise and completing tasks to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For:
Has practical experience in premises, caretaking, building maintenance, or a similar role.
Has a good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Is reliable, flexible, and able to respond to work requests at short notice where possible.
Takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-presented school environments.
Is happy working independently as well as part of a wider team.
Holds a full driving licence and has access to transport (desirable due to travel between sites).
