We are seeking dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistants to join our team at Cadbury College on a permanent, full-time, term-time only contract.

In this role, you will provide direct support to students with a range of high and complex needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their goals. This will include working with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), behavioural challenges, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Please note: Salaries are pro rata and based on term-time weeks and contracted hours. The advertised salary reflects the full academic year.

Responsibilities

In this rewarding role, you will be supporting students with complex needs (SEN), where the ability to build trusting relationships is key. You’ll need to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and have experience in administrative tasks. Most importantly, you must be confident and comfortable with providing all aspects of personal care. A genuine interest in teaching and a commitment to improving students’ lives are essential for success in this role.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a relevant subject area
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting learners within an FE or similar educational setting
  • Understanding of a wide range of learner needs, including literacy, numeracy, behavioural, and social needs
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training to support the role
