This is a part time, 0.5 contract. Due to the timetable not yet being confirmed, the schedule for this post is somewhat flexible at this stage and can be discussed further at interview stage.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Science Lecturer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on delivering high-quality courses, working closely with course teams to create an engaging and effective learning experience. You will use Information Learning Technology (ILT) and multimedia resources to develop and deliver science materials within a virtual learning environment. Additionally, you will support the growth of educational provisions, contribute to student support systems, and maintain clear communication with colleagues, students, and stakeholders while ensuring confidentiality. This role also offers opportunities for professional development, in-service training, and the creation of learning materials to enhance student learning.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in teaching Science to help shape the future of Cadbury College. You will have a good track record in raising attainment and standards and will be an innovative practitioner with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
An academic background in the Sciences is preferred along with a recognised teaching qualification, (L5 or above). We will also consider someone who is willing to work towards obtaining this qualification. We are looking for an individual who not only has a great theoretical understanding of Science and its practices, all 3 would be advantageous, but also a willingness to teach across a range of courses, including A Level, BTEC and T Level Science.
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 - £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:

DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
Certificate in Education
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 - £28,817).
