Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills Maths lessons from Entry Level to Level 2 that inspire confidence and make maths meaningful for all learners
- Develop inclusive, creative, and contextualised learning resources that relate maths to everyday life and vocational settings—helping learners see the value and relevance of numeracy in their future
- Provide constructive feedback and tailored support that motivates learners to achieve and exceed their targets, building resilience and self-belief along the way
- Maintain accurate records for attendance, retention, and achievement, ensuring every learner’s journey is monitored and celebrated
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Strong knowledge of GCSE and Functional Skills Maths delivery from Entry Level to Level 2, including current awarding body requirements
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and contextualised maths lessons that inspire learner progress
- Confident use of digital tools and learning technologies to enhance teaching and assessment
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills with a learner-centred approach
