Youth Engagement Tutor

We’re looking for a dedicated and inspiring Youth Engagement Tutor to join our dynamic team at Sandwell College’s brand-new Cradley Heath campus — a modern, purpose-built centre designed to spark creativity, confidence, and ambition. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the learning experience from the ground up, delivering high-quality programmes for young people not in education, employment, or training (NEET). You’ll empower learners to build essential skills, gain confidence, and take positive next steps into further education, training, or work — all within an exciting new environment built to help them thrive.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching sessions for NEET learners

• Lead Prince’s Trust or similar pre-FE programmes that support learner progression

• Provide individual learning plans, mentoring, and personal development support

• Monitor and report on learner attendance, progress, and achievement

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and external partners to create meaningful progression opportunities

• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of delivery

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Recognised teaching qualification

• Experience supporting young people who are NEET, disaffected, or disengaged

• Strong communication, motivation, and behaviour management skills

• Experience delivering Prince’s Trust or similar personal development programmes

• Knowledge of vocational, employability, and pre-apprenticeship pathways

• Ability to travel between campuses and community delivery sites
