Are you looking to work in a forward thinking, supportive school? One where children have a real desire to learn and an enthusiastic and respectful atmosphere exists between children and adults.
Sheen Mount is a 3-form entry school with a reputation for excellence in learning, provided within a caring and supportive environment. The successful candidate would join the school’s existing talented and committed teaching team, who are dedicated to the success of all children by having high expectations for all. We wish to appoint a committed classroom practitioner who is willing to grow and in return will receive a purposeful and supportive atmosphere.
The school has extensive school grounds and a genuine commitment to staff well-being (low-key weeks, use of our swimming pool before school and yoga). Transport links are excellent with numerous bus routes and Richmond and Mortlake station within each reach. There is free parking around the school.
Candidates must be creative and adaptable with a passion for working with primary school-aged children. You should be able to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills, have a flexible approach, good organisational skills and the ability to build relationships with children, teachers and parents. All our teaching assistants have a wider responsibility to monitor the welfare of all of our pupils throughout the day as dictated by school requirements, in particular during break times and lunchtimes.
As you will be working with other support staff, teaching staff and leadership in the best interest of the pupil(s) in your care, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
