If you are passionate about fundraising, this is an opportunity to play a pivotal role deepening the connections between South Hampstead High School and alumni, parents, and the local community to inspire financial support and provide opportunities for children who cannot afford our fees.
We are about to celebrate our 150th Anniversary and this will include the launch of a new philanthropic campaign. As a team, we have a major role to play in shaping the future of the school’s ambitions, so that we can continue to develop the leaders, the thinkers, and the creators of tomorrow.
As Philanthropy Manager, you will support the Director of Philanthropy to achieve the school’s philanthropic objectives, managing an effective portfolio of events and fundraising streams, securing regular giving donations, and stewarding our donors effectively.
You will create innovative and compelling ways to demonstrate the impact of our donors’ philanthropic support through a variety of media, such as the alumnae magazine, e-newsletter and social media, as well as plan exciting events, such as reunion lunches and dinners to foster greater involvement and commitment to the school.
This is a full-time role, and during term time you will need to be working on site at the school. Limited working from home may be considered during the school holiday period.
Evening events are a key part of this role so you will need to be flexible about your working hours.
About you
You will be goal and targeted oriented, with an excellent understanding of fundraising, experience of managing stakeholders, with strong influencing and communication skills.
You will need to be able to interact comfortably and professionally with donors, alumni, parents, and pupils and colleagues therefore a courteous and clear communication style is essential.
Experience of coordinating and delivering high level events is equally important.
You will also need to be able to analyse data and manage data held on the school’s fundraising database.
