Welcome to Shottermill Infant School

Shottermill Infant school is a two form entry infant school in Surrey. We pride ourselves on the caring, welcoming feel of our school. During our latest OFSTED, inspectors noted 'Pupils smile, care and look out for each other. They happily skip into school to learn each day. Tender relationships exist between staff and the young pupils. Parents cannot praise this school enough in how leaders ensure their children are safe and looked after.'

We are proud of our engaging curriculum; helping our children to develop to their full potential and develop a life long enjoyment of learning. Our curriculum is also enriched by a variety of activities. (More details of which can be found on our enrichment page.)

We believe strongly that children thrive best when school and home work in partnership, as such we welcome parents into the school in a variety of ways. Some of these include: next step meetings, meet the teacher sessions and information evenings, book sharing, (this is an opportunity to look at your child's work with your child), class assemblies, Christmas productions and sports day.

Shottermill Infant School is a popular mixed Infant School in Surrey with the capacity for 180 children ranging from 4-7 years. We are situated on Lion Green at Shottermill. The school is two form entry and can accept 60 children into each year group i.e. 2 x 30 children. All the staff and governors are highly committed to providing an excellent education for all our pupils. The school has a happy, caring and stimulating learning environment.

We are extremely proud of our school both in terms of its academic achievement and its success in preparing children for later life. However, this level of success could not be achieved without a strong home/school partnership. At Shottermill Infant School we value the role of parents in the education process greatly and take positive steps to build a strong working relationship based on mutual trust and support.
