You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy.

Approximately 20% of the students at the Academy are identified as SEND and within this there is a varied spectrum of additional needs. We strive to ensure that all students have equal access to a broad and balanced curriculum and our LSAs are integral to this.

Job overview

To work under the guidance of the Assistant Principal for Inclusion to support, monitor, and track the progress of targeted students at all key stages. To implement learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of students, including more specific support for those with EAL. This work may take place in the classroom or in other teaching areas.

Job requirements

  • Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
  • Evidence of having worked with children in some capacity
  • A positive interest in working with students
  • Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of legislation
  • Ability to build good working relationships with a range of colleagues

35 hours per week - term time only plus 5 days
