Riverbank Academy currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join the team, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
Job overview
You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing agreed interventions with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom, delivering programmes of support to smaller groups with minimal supervision, monitoring and recording pupil’s responses to learning activities through formal observations and planned recording of achievement and progress.
Job requirements
- A desire to continue to improve literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, with Grade C achieved in English and Maths
- Qualification to A level (AS/level) standard. desirable
- Experience of leading lessons within a community, mainstream or special school context
- Commitment to build upon your own learning through our structures
- Able to support students aged from 11-19 in moving and handling and personal care
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents
