Job overview

To carry out the duties of a subject teacher as set out in the most recent Teacher's Pay & Conditions Document. Your aim is to be an effective teacher and tutor who challenges and supports all our students to do their best and achieve their potential in the ethos of Ernesford Grange Community Academy. 

Job purpose

To provide outstanding, nurture-focused teaching across a primary-style curriculum (including English,   Maths, Science, Humanities, and Languages) within a single classroom base to a dedicated Key Stage 3   class group. To adapt existing curriculums in order to support students to make progress. All students in  this group have SEND and are currently working significantly below age-related expectations. 

The right candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
• Degree in a relevant subject area or Primary/Secondary Education
• Excellent knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and differentiation for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Knowledge of speech, language, and communication difficulties and strategies to support barriers to learning 
• Exceptional classroom teaching skills to plan, differentiate, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across multiple core subjects to a single class group
• Experience working within SEND settings, nurture provisions, or adaptive primary/secondary environments
