At Silverwood School, we support pupils aged 4–19 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

We’re excited to be expanding our team and welcoming new Teaching Assistants to our brand-new EYFS building at our Rowde Campus. Purpose-designed for our youngest pupils, it’s a space where safety, structure and sensory play come together to create an inspiring start to education.

What you’ll do in this role:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND needs and communication styles

• Help children feel safe, understood and confident through structured routines and sensory exploration

• Support pupils in outdoor learning, water confidence and interaction with school animals

• Promote positive behaviour and social-emotional growth

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a shared team ethos

• Foster an environment rich in sensory experiences and structured exploration

• Liaise with teachers, SENCO, behaviour support team and designated safeguarding leads to ensure consistent and high-quality support.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience working in early years, nurseries or with children with additional needs (SEND experience is helpful but not essential)

• Are patient, observant and motivated by seeing children grow at their own pace

• Communicate clearly and kindly with children, families and colleagues

• Value outdoor learning and sensory-based play

• Work well in a team but also bring initiative and creativity

Additional Information

Wiltshire Pay scale F9 – F11 £13.69 - £14.36 per hour

Salary at F9 for 30hrs a week approx. £18,417

Start and finish time: 8.50am – 3.25pm

• 5 days, 30 hours a week with a 40-minute unpaid lunch
