About the role:

• This role is based at our Trowbridge campus, where you’ll teach a class of up to 8 pupils following a semi-formal curriculum.

• These pupils have diverse and complex needs including Autism, sensory needs, and communication difficulties.

• You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop emotional regulation, social interaction, and confidence in a nurturing and structured environment.

• You’ll be part of a close-knit team of 15 dedicated SEN teachers who offer a friendly and collaborative teaching culture.

• You’ll use and share adaptive teaching techniques to meet a Semi-Formal curriculum working on developing social skills, interactions and emotional regulation through structured activities using a variety of teaching methods.

We are looking for someone who:

• Brings creativity, patience, and empathy to every lesson.

• Can think outside the box and adapt teaching methods to support every learner’s journey.

• Possesses strong behaviour management and communication skills.

• Encourages confidence, self-expression, and independence in pupils.

• Thrives in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment and stays resilient and solution-focused throughout the day.

• Commits to plan and deliver innovative and engaging lessons, tailored to the needs, abilities and learning styles of each pupil and be committed to ensuring that learning is meaningful, accessible and approachable.

• Strong behaviour management skills are critical in creating a safe, productive and structured learning environment

• Shows resilience and remains calm and who is solution focused at all times throughout the day.
