Are you friendly, professional and highly organised and committed to the safeguarding of children? We are looking for a dedicated receptionist to be the first point of contact for our School. This is a key role in the heart of our school, providing a warm welcome to pupils, parents staff and visitors and supporting the smooth day to day running of the school.
Silverwood School, Chippenham campus, is a specialist setting supporting children and young people aged 4–11 with a wide range of complex needs. Our school provides tailored, inclusive education designed to help each pupil thrive.

About the role:
• Greet all visitors, parents, and pupils in a courteous and professional manner
• Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and manage email correspondence
• Support staff with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and document preparation
• Manage pupil attendance records and sign-in/sign-out procedures
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area
• Liaise with external services as needed

• Has a kind, professional and friendly manner
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is calm under pressure and able to manage competing priorities
• Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
• Is confident in using Microsoft Office and School IT systems
