About the role:
• Based at our Rowde campus which sits in a sensory rich setting of 35 acres. A setting ideal for enhancing learning through nature, a haven for exploration and discovery, offering an inclusive outdoor learning experience to all.
• We are excited to announce that this role will be taught from our new bespoke Post 16 building and newly created independent living suite which opens September 2025.
• Joining our dynamic team currently consisting of 4 Post 16 Classes, you will lead a class of young people aged 16-19
• Our pupils will be accredited ASDAN qualifications which focus on preparing pupils for adulthood through a curriculum that promotes independence, life skills, employability and functional literacy and numeracy.
• Our Post 16 cohort of pupils have a wide variety of learning needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism and complex needs.
We are seeking a passionate, caring and creative Teacher who thrives on making meaningful connections and unlocking potential in every child and who:
• Commits to plan and deliver differentiated engaging lessons, tailored to the needs, abilities and learning styles of each pupil
• Encourage self-advocacy and promote confidence amongst our Post 16 learners
• Have patience, understanding and empathy in their approach to teaching -being able to think outside the box is essential.
• Strong behaviour management skills are critical in creating a safe, productive and structured learning environment
• Have the ability to communicate instructions and feedback clearly and effectively, adapting their communication style to suit the needs of their pupils.
