INTRODUCTION

We are seeking to appoint dynamic, inspirational, highly motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our lovely school. Our children have a range of SEND needs and conditions and we will place you with a class with which we think you are most suited. Proven experience of working alongside children with severe and complex learning disabilities is essential.

SALARY

Wiltshire Pay scale F9 – F11 £13.69 - £14.36 per hour

Salary at F9 for 30hrs a week approx. £18,417

TERMS

Start and finish time: 8.50am – 3.25pm

Contracts available

• 5 days, 30 hours a week with a 40-minute unpaid lunch

All contracts are Term-time plus Inset days. Every contract includes a 25 min a week payment to be used on a fortnightly Wednesday afterschool 50 min training session.

The successful candidate will be working within a skilled and caring team. They will be expected to provide support to individual students, small groups or work in whole class settings. ABOUT US

Silverwood School is a maintained co-educational special school for pupils aged 4-19 years. We formed in September 2020 with campuses in Chippenham, Trowbridge and Rowde.

This is an exciting time to join us as we have expanded our provision with a brand-new building at our Rowde campus. The new building has a wide variety of class rooms and support areas including subject specialist rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and new sensory rooms.

Our mission is to enhance opportunities, enjoyment and outcomes for our pupils. Our SEND Support and Training Service, which contributes to our vision of ‘Building Community; Inspiring Learning’ supports the advancement of excellence in education for young people with special educational needs and disabilities in Wiltshire and beyond.
