We are looking to expand our Exam Invigilator team at the Sir Robert Woodard Academy: to support with the invigilation of external and internal examinations in accordance with the rules and regulations of the respective examinations boards, the Joint Council of Qualifications (JCQ) and the school to commence from November 2021.

This position is casual and there are no guaranteed hours. Successful applicants will be required to work professionally as a member of a team which ensures regulations are followed in a supportive environment for our students taking examinations.

Duties will include admitting candidates to the examination rooms in a quiet and orderly way, handing out and collection of examination materials and being constantly vigilant whilst an examination is running, ensuring that the conduct of the exam takes place within the stipulated guidelines.

The role requires excellent customer service skills, including effective and confident communication, the ability to work in a team and to multi-task. You must also be able to enforce regulations firmly but fairly if necessary and deal effectively and promptly with any problem. Flexibility, reliability and an eye for detail are essential.

Please review the job description and person specification for further details on the role and the skills and attributes required. Experience of working in the education sector would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be given.

CVs are not accepted and all applicants must complete an online application form.

The successful applicant’s appointment will be subject to satisfactory clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service and vetting checks, including references. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a criminal record self-declaration form. In line with the Academy’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, all staff are also required to undertake mandatory online and face to face safeguarding training every year.
