An exciting opportunity has arisen from 1st June at The Sir Robert Woodard Academy in Lancing for a reliable and efficient Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with a positive, ‘can do’ approach and the ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a busy team environment. Candidates must be able to perform the physical nature of the role (see below) and be able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with students and staff alike. Candidates with recent, relevant experience preferred.
Duties will involve food preparation, stocking up, clearing away, cleaning, washing up and operating the till. A good level of dexterity is required and the ability to stand for long periods, bend, stretch, twist, kneel, squat and be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull loads weighing up to 10kg and cope with exposure to extremes of temperature.

This position is term time and inset days, 39 weeks of the year. This position is permanent with 5.5 fixed hours daily; the rate of pay is equivalent to £9.25 per hour, paid monthly in arrears. You will receive the same amount of pay each month, and there is an opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme, if you wish.
