Weekend Site Officer - required all year round
Core Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm Saturday; 9.30am – 2.30pm Sunday
13 hours worked per weekend in total
Actual Salary £8,149.24 per annum (equivalent to £12.02 per hour)
10 days annual leave (five weekends off per year)
Built in 2012, The Sir Robert Woodard Academy, part of the Woodard family of schools, boasts modern and spacious facilities, such as a fitness suite, theatre and sports hall. It is a thriving 11–18 Academy, serving primarily the students of Lancing, Sompting and West Shoreham, though we welcome students from all surrounding areas. As the school grows in popularity, there is likely to be further expansion and development over the coming years.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our committed and dedicated Site team as a Weekend Site Officer. We are looking for a polite, enthusiastic and reliable individual, with a pleasant and positive ‘can do’ approach, to join us and the site team as soon as possible on a permanent, part time basis (weekends only).
We are keen to ensure that all users of the Academy site and resources gain maximum enjoyment and satisfaction from the facilities available and are able to use them within a safe environment. The main duties of the post are to support all lettings at the Academy, whilst exercising the highest levels of professionalism and customer care, and to ensure the site and Academy equipment is clean, secure and well kept.

The successful post-holder will:-
• Be well-presented with strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming approach
• Be able to assess situations and deal with them appropriately
• Have the ability to develop good working relationships with staff, students, visitors and all users of the Academy site.
• Be physically fit and able to undertake light manual work and some practical tasks.
• Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality
• Show initiative, work well under pressure and be able to multi-task
• Have good administrative and organisational skills and attention to detail
• Be a team player who will consistently implement Academy policies
Core working hours will be 13 over each weekend, to be worked on both Saturdays and Sundays. The post-holder may be required to work overtime when required. Actual salary for the 13 core hours worked each weekend is £8,149.24pa.
