St John the Baptist School is seeking to appoint a Teacher of RE to join our well established and high performing department. The post would be suitable for an NQT or for someone with experience looking to develop their teaching practice further.
As a Catholic school, RE and Spiritual Development are at the heart of our curriculum. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated practitioner who shares our commitment to high standards of professionalism and academic achievement and is eager to develop their own practice in an environment that is both supportive and at the cutting edge of RE pedagogy and practice. Results in RE for GCSE are consistently high and the A level results are excellent, with large numbers of students taking up Philosophy and Ethics.
The spiritual development of our students is the responsibility of each and every member of the department and as such we would be looking for someone who is an outstanding role model who lives out their faith actively and passionately. We want to appoint another enthusiastic Teacher of RE who will always strive to bring RE to life and communicate its relevance with dynamism and innovation. We are looking for a committed Roman Catholic who has a genuine passion for the subject and for teaching children; the ability to inspire students; and the desire to go the extra mile to help our students achieve their full potential. The ability to teach to A Level, although preferred, is not required.
This is an excellent opportunity for both NQTs as well as more experienced teachers who are looking to grow and develop their own classroom practice whilst immersing themselves in an environment that is at the forefront of teaching and pedagogy. The successful candidate will be well supported and have access to significant future professional development opportunities.
