The Governors of St. Joseph’s RC High School wish to appoint a School Support Officer (in Finance) to commence 1st September 2025. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 2.30 pm (to include a half hour break).
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our school. You will have a professional and flexible attitude, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial information while adhering to internal controls and procedures.
The role of the School Support Officer is to provide general administrative and financial support to the school, under the instruction/guidance of senior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with departments and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve purchasing queries
• Record and bank cash/cheques, reconcile transactions and provide accurate financial data
• Support school trip finances by allocating codes, reconciling income/expenditure and covering the ParentPay system as needed
• Maintain confidentiality, comply with financial controls and participate in training etc.
