This post provides a unique opportunity to develop new skills in a school which has a compelling vision and deep commitment to providing exceptional SEND provision. This is an exciting time to join the school, as our new SENDCo joined us at the start of this academic year, and the successful candidate will be able to work with them to shape provision for our Sixth Form students.

Our Sixth Form is highly regarded in Bristol and the surrounding area, with a dedicated Assistant Headteacher, two Heads of Year who are supported by Deputy Heads of Year, and a team of pastoral support workers, learning mentors, and administrators.

As part of your application please state what your particular areas of interest in applying for this job are, and what you would like to contribute to the team, e.g.

• Numeracy development

• Attachment issues

• Autism

• Mobility issues

• Social skill development

• Supporting teachers with differentiation

• Applying for top up funding

• Chairing review meetings with parents/carers

• One-to-one interventions with students

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced Criminal Disclosure. We welcome applicants regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or religion. It is an offence to apply for this role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
