Are you an organised, enthusiastic, and approachable individual with a passion for supporting young people and helping a busy school run smoothly? Soar Valley College is looking to appoint a highly competent Administrative Assistant to join our friendly and professional team.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is confident using IT systems (with SIMS experience being an advantage), and can prioritise tasks while working under pressure. The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, reliable, and a strong team player, with a commitment also to confidentiality, safeguarding, and the values of the school. A genuine interest in supporting young people and working in an educational environment is essential.
Ideally, candidates should have some experience of working in an administrative position and, whilst school experience would be advantageous, it is always more important for us to find the ‘right person’. Therefore we also welcome applications from those new to working in an education environment.
Soar Valley College is an 11 to 16 school committed to excellence for all. We pride ourselves on being highly inclusive and have a varied and engaging curriculum which promotes the love of learning and prepares all young people for the next steps in their lives. Posts don’t come up often at Soar Valley, once with us our staff choose to stay, and so this represents a rare and fantastic opportunity to join our high performing staff team in this Outstanding school – a great place to work, where the caring ethos inspires success for all and outcomes for children are very high.
Further details are available on our website. If you require any further information, would like to visit us, or would just appreciate a chat about the role, please contact Smita Stone, Personnel Manager.
