Soar Valley is a highly inclusive school. We go to great lengths to ensure every child can and does succeed in education. As part of our provision we have developed The Exchange, a small, specialised unit for those students at risk of exclusion, the aim being to change their behaviour – hence its name.
As part of this provision, we are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3, who will assume the role of Alternative Provision Tutor, as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work closely with the Exchange Lead and support vulnerable students accessing the alternative provision, promoting a learning environment that supports high expectations, and delivering bespoke provision to meet the needs of individuals.
Experience in an educational setting is essential and experience of delivering English and/or Maths intervention would be useful. You would be joining our provision at a very exciting time in its development, the previous postholder having recently been promoted to Exchange Lead, and the successful candidate will contribute to the future planning.
If you feel you have the right skills, qualities and experience to make a real difference with our most vulnerable and hard to reach students and are excited to become part of an OfSTED ‘Outstanding’ school where inclusion is a key part of the ethos, we would like to hear from you.
Please note this is a re-advertisement. Previous candidates should contact us if they wish to be considered for this role.
Please see our website for further details. Interested candidates are welcome to visit the school before making an application should they wish, and should contact Smita Stone, SLT PA, to arrange this.
Closing date: 9am Friday 22nd September 2023
