Please note, this is a re-advertisement. Previous applicants, please inform us if you wish to be considered.

Soar Valley is a highly inclusive school. We go to great lengths to ensure every child can and does succeed in education and, as part of our provision we have developed The Exchange, a small, specialised unit for those students at risk of exclusion, the aim being to change their behaviour – hence its name, Ex-change.

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join the Exchange team, who will assume the role of Alternative Provision Tutor, and to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work closely with the Exchange Lead and support vulnerable students accessing The Exchange, promoting a learning environment that supports high expectations, and delivering a bespoke curriculum designed to meet the needs of individuals.

Experience in an educational setting is essential and experience of delivering English and/or maths intervention would be useful. You will also need to be passionate about changing the life chances for some of our most vulnerable children, supporting the work which aims to give them the chances in life all deserve.

If you feel you have the right skills, qualities and experience to make a real difference with our most vulnerable and hard to reach students and are excited to become part of an OfSTED ‘Outstanding’ school where inclusion is a key part of the ethos, we would like to hear from you.

Please see our website for further details. Interested candidates are welcome to visit the school before making an application should they wish, and should contact Smita Stone, Personnel Manager.

Closing date: 9am Wednesday 19th November 2025
