Salary Scale: Grade 3 Points 5- 6 £24,790 - £25,183

Actual Pro-rata Salary £19,985 - £20,302

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am – 3.30pm. 35hrs per week, x 38 weeks (term time) plus 18 hours (Training Days) 1348 hrs pa, 80.62% FTE.

Are you responsible, calm under pressure, and passionate about supporting children to achieve in schools? We are looking for a Student Welfare Officer to join our school and make a real difference!

Children need to feel safe in school and to be cared for when accidents happen or if they have illnesses; to support this, we are seeking a conscientious and caring person to become our Student Welfare Officer, starting as soon as possible.

Our Student Welfare Officer plays a significant role in helping to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone within the school environment. This is a great opportunity for a someone who either has or is interested in developing first aid skills and contributing to the school's overall health and safety. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, able to relate to students, staff and parents in a sensitive manner, as well as excellent administration abilities.

Previous experience of working in a school environment would be useful but is certainly not essential; it is much more important for us to find the ‘right’ person to fit into our team, and all necessary training will be provided.
