Soar Valley is a highly inclusive school. We go to great lengths to ensure every child can and does succeed in education and, as part of our provision we have developed The Exchange, a small, specialised unit for those students most at risk of exclusion, the aim being to change their behaviour – hence its name, Ex-change.
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join the Exchange team, supporting the academic achievement of the students and also ensuring they thrive emotionally. The successful candidate will work closely with the other team members in promoting a caring learning environment that supports high expectations and the highest levels of success.
Experience in an educational setting is useful, but not essential. You do need to be passionate about changing the life chances for some of our most vulnerable children, supporting the work which aims to give them the chances in life that everyone deserves.
If you feel you have the right skills, qualities and experience to make a real difference with our most vulnerable and hard to reach students and are excited to become part of an OfSTED ‘Outstanding’ school where inclusion is a key part of the ethos, we would like to hear from you.
Please see our website for further details and/or contact Smita Stone, Personnel Manager, if you have any queries.
Closing date: 9am Thursday 18 June 2026
