Administrative Assistant – to start as soon as possible.

Salary: Hay 10 (£15,41 - £16,358 per annum)

Hours: 32 hours 30 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm, including inset days

St Peter’s Primary is a vibrant 210 place school set in a fantastic location with superb school grounds, on the outskirts of Bristol and near the interchange of the M4 and M5.

The role of Administrative Assistant is varied and busy, playing an important part in the smooth running of the school on a daily basis and provides a welcoming and efficient reception service to our parents, children, visitors and staff. We are looking for candidates who are can remain calm and cheerful in a busy environment, are able to use their initiative, pay attention to detail and work under pressure and to deadlines, together with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to organise their own workload within the team.

We are a successful and happy school, with an established team of dedicated staff. The staff are continually developing their practice to ensure the children gain an excellent education. We have well motivated children who enjoy learning and are eager to participate in everything the school and community offers.

We are looking for a suitable candidate who:

•Has excellent organisational, administrative and record keeping skills;

•Possesses outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels;

•Can demonstrate good IT skills;

•Has previous school experience;

•Has an understanding of safeguarding;

•Is able to offer a warm, friendly and efficient reception service;

•Can ensure that all pupil and personnel data on school IT systems is accurate and current;

•Has experience of collecting and reconciling monies;

•Is able to efficiently carry out general administrative duties;

•Can forge excellent relationships with our parents, staff, children and wider school community;

•Works well as a team player but also has the initiative to work independently;

•Is prepared to go the extra mile!
