Breakfast and After School Assistants (Two Posts)

Hours: Part Time, 18 Hours and 45 minutes per week, Term Time Only (Monday to Friday, 7.45am – 9.00am and 3.30pm – 6.00pm)
Salary: Hay 13 (£7,865 per annum)
Almondsbury CE Primary is a vibrant 315 place school set in a fantastic location overlooking the Severn Estuary, on the outskirts of Bristol and on the interchange of the M4 and M5.
The Governors of Almondsbury CE Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding, dynamic, caring and enthusiastic assistant for our newly formed Breakfast and After School wraparound care provision. The post is school hours from 7.45am to 9.00am and then 3.30pm to 6.00pm daily. We would consider splitting the post to either just breakfast club or after school club.
Breakfast club hours – 6.25 hours
After school club hours – 12.5 hours
Your role will be varied and fun, playing sports with children, exploring outdoors, engaging in arts and crafts, serving snacks and looking after children between the ages of 4 to 11 years old. You will also be required to administer first aid.
We are looking for candidates with experience of working with children and who are familiar with providing excellent customer service to stakeholders. You will need to be organised and energetic as well as having the necessary experience or qualifications in childcare.
This role is suitable for anyone with experience of working for children, leading groups of children and have experience of running inside/outside activities. If you would like an opportunity to work part-time with children this role may be perfect for you.

We are looking for a suitable candidate who:
• Level 2 or 3 Childcare Qualification
• Some experience working with 4 to 11 year old children is essential
• Enthusiasm and a passion for people.
• Excellent communication skills
• You’re a big kid at heart
• Paediatric first aid qualification is a nice to have (we can organise this for you).
