Caretaker – Gillingstool Primary School

Start date: As soon as possible

Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.30am-8.00am and 3.00pm-5.30pm. All year round.

Salary: Hay 11 (£7,829 - £7,986 per annum)

Gillingstool Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and responsible caretaker for their site in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. Able to work flexibly and unsupervised, you will be self-motivated, have good communication skills, basic DIY and IT skills.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the school remains clean, safe and secure for all our pupils, staff and visitors. This will involve carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance tasks including: cleaning; adhering to health and safety legislation and carrying out compliance and statutory checks. Induction training will be provided.

You will be a main key holder for the site with responsibility for the daily unlocking/locking of the premises.

It is expected that annual leave will be taken during school holidays.
