SEN Teaching Assistant
Start date: As soon as possible.
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 12:30pm, term time only.
Salary: Hay 10 (£9,485 - £10,066 per annum)
Please note, this is temporary post and will come to an end when the funding ceases, or the child leaves the school.
We are looking to appoint a Temporary Part-Time Teaching Assistant to work within a mainstream class to support a Year 2 Autistic child with an EHCP.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with needs associated with Autism and a passion for setting high expectations and aspirations for all children. Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team to support EHCP outcomes. Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach and the ability to think on your feet are characteristics which will come naturally to you.
The hours for this post are 20 per week, Monday-Friday, term time only (Monday to Friday 8:30-12:30)

The person appointed will require a good standard of general education, normally evidenced by 3 or more GCSEs (including Maths and English) at Level 4/Grade C or above, or other equivalents. Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting is required and some vocational training/qualification in the care, development or education of children would be desirable. Experience of supporting children with ASD and associated social and communication difficulties is essential.
