SEN Teaching Assistant

Start date: As soon as possible

Hours: 15 hours per week, term time only

Salary: Hay 10 (£7,114 - £7,550 per annum)

This is a temporary post subject to funding that will end when the funding ceases or the child(ren) leave the school

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support children with ECHPs and to deliver high quality interventions.

Initially the post will be with one child but to avoid creating a dependency culture, this may extend to working with other children in other year groups at times.

Experience of working with children with Attachment Issues and Autism would be an advantage.

You will need to show a good understanding of children with special educational needs and take a lead in developing tasks which enable personalised targets to be met.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and can also develop strong relationships with children, colleagues and parents.

Courtney Primary is a friendly school with a welcoming team. We are fortunate to be able to work in a bright, modern building with wonderful grounds and views.

Closing Date: By noon Friday 1st October 2021

Interviews: Likely to be Tuesday 5th October 2021

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and all appointments will be subject to appropriate vetting, including an enhanced DBS disclosure check.

Some roles may need to comply with the ‘Childcare Act 2006’ and the ‘Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009’ where additional disclosure of information will be required.
