Student Services Administrator & Receptionist

Start Date: As soon as possible

Package: 30 Hours per week (Monday - Friday) – 39 weeks per year (Term-time only). Working hours from 10.30am-4.30pm.

Salary: Scale 5 (Point 11 - 15) = FTE salary range currently £29,583.00 to £31,440.00 (Pro Rata - £21,485.00 to £22,834.00).

The Post will be subject to a probation period of 3 months.

St Mark’s Catholic School is seeking to appoint a Student Services Administrator & Receptionist to provide flexible, adaptive administrative support to staff across the student services, reception and school office teams. St. Mark’s has a reputation for outstanding student outcomes, but we are also committed to excellence in all that we do, and that includes all aspects of pastoral care.

It is important to have some experience of working with children/young people but previous experience in a school is not essential.

The successful candidate will have:

  •  Passion for working with children/young people and ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding.
  •  Good interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
  •  Good IT skills and the ability to manage a database, work with spreadsheets and utilise word processing software to present data.
  •  A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a very busy environment.
  •  Excellent attention to detail.
  •  A creative and flexible approach to problem-solving.
