Welcome to St Mary’s Church of England Primary School. Our school was originally a secondary school. As a result of this we benefit from very large classrooms and extensive grounds, which have been developed to provide exciting areas for learning and play. Children are at the centre of every aspect of our work as we strive to provide a happy and secure environment in which all children, at every stage of their development, can achieve the best of which they are capable. We are recognised as a fully inclusive school which is committed to providing a relevant and high quality education for all children living in the area. The school’s ethos and culture (founded on Christian values) serve to celebrate difference and diversity and create a climate in which everyone knows themselves to be valued for their distinct and individual skills, attributes and resources. We aim to engender a sense of community and belonging and to offer new and enriching opportunities to all learners.

The Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership was founded in 2009 following the hard federation between Norton Hill and Somervale Secondary Schools. Since this point the Trust has grown to include other secondary schools and a large number of primary schools, which are all located in the Southwest of England: Bath and North East Somerset, Somerset and North Somerset.
