Class Teacher 

Fixed Term Maternity Cover 

Full Time

Pay Scale – MPS 3-6 

£37,101- £45,352 FTE


We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring teacher to join our unique village school community on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from Term 2 onwards for Academic Year 2026-27.

Swainswick Church School is a small rural primary school with mixed-age classes, strong relationships and a genuine family feel. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching across a range of ages and abilities, adapting learning to meet individual needs and helping every child to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. They will enjoy working collaboratively within a small team, building strong partnerships with families and contributing to the wider life of the school. 

We are looking for someone who is:

• An enthusiastic, inspirational and reflective teacher who has high expectations for every child and a commitment to their own professional growth.

• Able to build strong, positive relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider community.

• Skilled in recognising and responding to the diverse learning needs of pupils, ensuring all children can thrive and achieve success.
