What we are looking for:

  • Deputy Headteacher

  • Part of the Teaching and Learning Leadership Team
  • Teaching responsibility

Abbas and Templecombe Church School is looking to recruit a Deputy Headteacher to work at our school who is:

  • A committed and inspirational leader who actively supports and promotes our Christian vision and values
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising standards and improving pupil outcomes
  • Someone with high expectations of attainment, behaviour and inclusion for all pupils
  • A skilled SENCO with a strong understanding of SEND provision, able to lead and manage inclusive practice effectively across the school
  • An experienced Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) who is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
  • A valued member of the Teaching and Learning Leadership Team, contributing to curriculum development, assessment and whole-school improvement
  • A strategic thinker who can work with the Headteacher to drive forward school improvement priorities and secure strong outcomes
  • An effective communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors, the church and wider community
  • A leader who can motivate, support and develop colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth
  • A proactive and organised individual able to support the day-to-day leadership and management of the school
  • A positive and resilient team player who can confidently lead the school in the Headteacher’s absence
