We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Oakhill Church School & Nursery. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality integrated childcare and early education for children aged 2–4, and in supporting our before and after school club provision.

As a key member of the Nursery Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Nursery Lead and to lead and support staff, ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, and maintain a stimulating learning environment that meets Ofsted standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead nursery operations in the absence of the Nursery Lead.
  • Support and mentor Early Years Practitioners and Assistants
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities based on the EYFS framework
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision and children's progress
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and safeguarding
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals
  • Maintain and analyse cohort data.
  • Support the induction of new staff and contribute to ongoing professional development

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a nursery setting
  • Experience leading a team
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
  • Passionate, caring, and committed to high standards

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, DSL qualification
  • Experience supporting children with diverse needs
