Midday Supervisory Assistant 

  • 7.08 hours per week, 12:00 - 13:25pm, term time only
  • 38 working weeks / 44.6 paid weeks
  • Pay Grade: BWMAT A - SCP 3 - £24,796 FTE per annum
  • Actual salary from £4058 per annum
  • This is a permanent appointment (subject to a probationary period)

The children, staff and governors of St Nicholas Church School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our Mid-Day Supervisory Team from September 2026 to work 7.08 hours a week, 1hr 25 mins a day, term time only.

The candidate would be required to work as part of our lunchtime team; providing care, supporting play and healthy eating with our children inside the dining hall and outside on the playground.

 The post would include:

  • Providing nurture and supporting the well-being of our children by; monitoring play, mediating with disagreements and upholding school rules.
  • Supporting and leading active and creative play by; scaffolding and modelling appropriate play activities, encouraging safe co-operation and organising play equipment
  • Setting up the hall for eating, monitoring children’s eating habits, managing behaviour, clearing away equipment and making sure the hall is clean and tidy
  • Maintaining safe practices and procedures to ensure all children are safe and happy. Keeping up to date with first aid requirements

  • Someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the school team
