About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estates and facilities professional to take on a varied and impactful role across our Trust family of schools.

As Regional Hub Facilities Lead, you will take the lead on all estates and facilities operations across a defined group of schools within your Hub, ensuring every building is safe, compliant, efficient, sustainable, and fit for learning.

The role offers a blend of strategic planning and hands-on operational leadership, and you will act as the key interface between schools in the Hub, the Trust-Wide Estates Lead, and external suppliers.

This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in creating safe, well-run environments and who brings both professional rigour and a collaborative, positive approach to everything they do.

Your duties will include

  • Developing, contributing to, and delivering a Hub Estates Plan aligned to the Trust's Estates Strategy and Asset Management Plan, including a rolling 3–5 year planned preventive maintenance programme and capital works pipeline
  • Ensuring full statutory compliance across all Hub schools, including fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene, gas, electrical, lifts, and security
  • Acting as the designated competent person for health and safety across the Hub, leading, auditing, and reviewing Health and Safety management systems
  • Line managing of site staff within the Hub, including reviewing the skills and suitability of the team and ensuring appropriate training is arranged where necessary
  • Managing Hub Facilities Management budgets, ensuring value for money and compliance with Trust financial regulations
  • Maintaining compliance dashboards and auditable records across all Hub schools
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives, including energy, water and waste reduction, and decarbonisation projects
  • Providing a responsive, customer-focused service to Headteachers, staff, and pupils

About you

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) with relevant experience in an estates and facilities management role
  • A health and safety qualification or accreditation
  • At least 2 years' experience of managing teams in a school or other estates environment, with a track record of delivering strategic and operational goals
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance requirements, and contract administration
  • Experience of procuring contract services, evaluating supplier performance, and negotiating solutions with suppliers
  • A full, clean driving licence
  • Good IT skills, including competency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills

What we offer

  • A competitive salary of £33,699 to £37,280 per annum on BWMAT Scale G
  • A varied, meaningful role spanning a family of schools, with genuine scope and responsibility
  • A collaborative, values-driven culture where staff are supported to grow and thrive
  • Travel across the Regional Hub with flexibility in how you manage your time
  • The opportunity to contribute to outstanding learning environments that make a real difference to children and communities
  • Additional health, wellbeing, and lifestyle benefits
