About the roles:
MDSA:
- 7.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- Term time only, paid for 44.6 weeks per year
- Pay scale: MAT-A - SCP 3 £24,796 pro rata
- Actual starting salary £4,299 per year
Teaching Assistant:
- 22.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- Term time only plus 2 insets, paid for 45.2 weeks per year
- Pay scale MAT-C - SCP5-6 £25,583– £25,989 pro rata
- Actual starting salary £13,486 per year

St Andrew’s Church School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic lunchtime supervisor and TA.
This is a great opportunity to work with a team who enjoy making the school day as enjoyable as possible. This is a great opportunity to build up experience working in a school and further career opportunities.
For the MDSA role, you will work in the hall as part of the lunchtime team as well as in the playground.
You will be expected to: -
- Maintain a calm, respectful atmosphere and encourage positive behaviour
- Set up the hall and create a welcoming environment
- Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others
- Support children during mealtimes and tidying up
- Deal with any minor first aid incidents (training will be provided)
- Set up and clear away tables and benches at the end of lunchtime and general cleaning duties.
We are also seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is:
- Able to inspire children in their learning both within a group and on a 1-1 basis
- A good team player, who thrives on collaboration
- Is committed to inclusion and able to work systematically and flexibly in a busy school
- An excellent communicator with good presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Is passionate about learning and child development.
