BWMAT Scale points  C £26,427 – £26,847 FTE  

£19,193 - £19,498 Actual per annum

Churchfield Church School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

This post will initially be a fixed term position; however, the post will be reviewed annually due to funding

We are looking for someone who will: 

• An enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant with possible experience of working with individual children before.
• Is caring, patient, resilient and able to build secure and positive relationships with children.
• Understands the importance of helping children develop independence and knows when to 'step in' and when to 'step out'.
• Can support children's social communication, emotional literacy and regulation, including during less structured times such as lunch.
• Can work effectively with teachers, the SENCo, support staff and families and follow agreed support plans and strategies.
• Is flexible and willing to support children across the school where needed.
• Is supportive of the Christian ethos and the values of our school.
