We are looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator for St Andrews Church School, Bath.

St Andrew’s Church School is a one form entry primary school and nursery in the centre of the world heritage city of Bath. Our school motto “Learning for Living, Life in all its fullness” wonderfully describes the caring environment in which our children learn, play and make friends. St Andrew’s is committed to providing a creative and enjoyable approach to learning. We are a fully inclusive school where every child is valued and given the opportunity to achieve their potential and celebrate personal successes.

We are seeking to appoint a SENDco to ensure inclusive practice is developed across the school to promote the highest standards of progress, both in wellbeing and academic outcomes for all pupils.


We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in leading the responsibility for SEND provision.

• Able to provide outstanding support and direction for the co-ordination of SEND across the school.

• An outstanding practitioner with high expectations of pupil attainment, progress and behaviour.

• Committed to developing the full potential of all children within an environment where children feel safe, valued and happy.

• Able to liaise effectively with staff, parents, external agencies and other schools.

• Able to provide maximum support and ensure continuity of educational provision for pupils with SEND.

• Passionate about inclusion and an advocate for every child to access their right to an outstanding education.
