Breakfast Club Assistant

5 hours per week term time only (7.45am – 8-45 am Monday-Friday)

Pay scale: BANES Q - SCP 3-4 £24,796 -£25,185 pro rata

 

Teaching Assistant

5 hours per week term time only plus 2 insets (8.45am-9.45am Monday-Friday)

Pay scale BANES P – SCP5-6 £25,583– 25,989 pro rata


Combined Actual Salary - £5,862.00 - £5955.00

 

St Andrew’s Church School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Breakfast Club Assistant to support children during the early morning period.

 

The main Breakfast Club duties will be to-

  •  Provide refreshments ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
  • Administer first aid when necessary and record any injuries in the accident book and notify parents as and when necessary.
  • Set up the play space, including moving furniture and play equipment.
  • Ensure registration and consent forms are completed for each child and liaise with parent/carers as necessary.
  • Oversee children during activity and refreshment time, taking part as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the environment where the children are playing is safe and stimulating.
  • Ensure that there are adequate and age-appropriate activities available for each session.
  • To assist with the collecting and returning of equipment.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is:

  • Able to inspire children in their learning both within a group and on a 1-1 basis
  • A good team player, who thrives on collaboration
  • Is committed to inclusion and able to work systematically and flexibly in a busy school
  • An excellent communicator with good presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Is passionate about learning and child development.
