Teaching Assistant 

  • Fixed term contract for up to 12 months, due to time-limited funding
  • 30 hours per week - 6 hours per day
  • Term time only (38 paid weeks / 44.6 paid weeks)
  • Salary: BWMAT C - SCP 5 - 6, £26,427 - £26,847 FTE, pro rata
  • Actual salary from £18,327 - £18,618 per year

The children, staff and Governors of Beckington Church First School and Mells Church First School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to play an integral part in our thriving schools.

We are looking for a colleague who:

  • has a genuine passion for supporting children to learn, grow and achieve their potential;
  • can confidently support pupils in a variety of settings, including whole-class learning, small-group interventions, one-to-one support and playtimes;
  • creates positive relationships that help children feel safe, confident and ready to learn;
  • brings energy, flexibility and a nurturing approach to our school community.
